note to self

take re-entry slow.
leave the tree up, if you like.
snuggle when they want to snuggle.
repeat your ADVENTure.
make a gift. wrap a gift.
don't volunteer to organize the class Christmas party.
take the Christmas photo during the summer.
use ball jars to gift sweet treats.
let your presence be present.

"Let your presence be present" That's something I really need to practice - thanks so much for the thought. Happy New Year

Great note--one I need to borrow (especially that part about the class party). Happy new year!

Love the one about one's presence. I think this is the biggest gift to the world: let ourselves be available to others. I so like to be secluded, that it is a huge problem for me. I made my presence available during the Christmas season when my church put on a Christmas Eve event for the community where nearly 3000 attended. I was so exhausted after 2 days of work the 2 days before Christmas, but oh the blessings from having served! I was the one who was blessed!

You said it! I'm smiling with the memory of all the Christmas parties I presided over as homeroom mom. It's a lot of work for 45 minutes of fun. I'm kind-of-sort-of glad those days are done.

Enjoy every minute of 2011.
