it's here!

it's here! december is finally here! happy December 1st! this morning we were blessed with a front that finally brought us cold temperatures and snow! a wonderfully beautiful day of snow flurries provided the perfect weather outside for me to stay inside and craft. in my hour, I created a sweet little gift to let two special young ladies know we're thinking of them!

Supply list: cottage christmas card stock sheet and card stock for matting purchased at Archiver's, adhesive, paper trimmer, xyron lamination, magnet buttons, plastic boxes and ribbon for mailing.
Directions: cut, mat, laminate, add magnets, enjoy!

over the next two weeks, I'll be finishing up my ADVENTure 2010, and (of course) sharing my final projects with you here. my year long project of making gifts, paper projects, and home decor items will come to a close. some of the planned projects will need to be put on the shelf and considered for next year, which makes me sad. but this has been one amazing adventure and I'm so excited to share all the gifts I've created. these advent magnets were made and mailed today, so it's not too late for you to create an easy project! go. now. create.

that's the thing about adventures, they have endpoints. and i feel a bit sad, as well, reaching the endpoint of this one. but there is sadness only because there has been great joy. absent of giving bits and pieces of your time, talent and self, this ADVENTure would have left you feeling empty. but i can personally attest to the fact that you are anything but. i have seen the great care and heart you have put into every project, and share in the excitement and anticipation of the season of sharing that will soon begin. an endpoint can be just that. or it can be an invitation to the point that marks a new beginning. something tells me your ADVENTure endpoint will be the latter.

love you, sweet!

Love this! You are so good at coming up with ideas for paper, so talented! Glad you enjoyed a little snow, we had our first bit of snow on Thanksgiving, which made it feel more like we were celebrating Christmas. But it was so nice to see!

I continue amazed at your creativity and talent. WOW! This is the sweetest and most perfect gift. I love it!

It's good to hear the joy in your voice as well in delight over the first snow. So many choose to see but the long, dark days of winter when in fact there's light. It's simply a matter of the heart.

And you have heart.

Your husband's words are also quite dear. It's good what you've created together, within your home.

Happy, happy December!

Oh Kristyn,
Yay, I love December too! This season has been a particularly joyful one for me this year. I hope it is for you as well. I must say I'm extremely jealous that you've gotten snow. It's if-y whether or not we'll get any this year. I sure hope so.

Now, can I just say (again) how utterly impressed I am with you and your ADVENTure! You've created not only heartfelt but gorgeous gifts throughout 2010. You've inspired me. I'm really going to try to keep up with you in 2011.

Love the magnets too! Fantastic idea. I wish we were close to one another (geographically)-- wouldn't it be fun?
