happy wednesday!

stopping by for a quick update of a few finished ADVENTure projects. these are wrapped and ready to bless! I love that. having my gifts waiting and ready to give. let's be honest, most years I'm up until 3:00 am the night before we leave for holiday wrapping gifts.

this week I'm focusing on being unhurried. I may inevitably be "busy" but I'm challenging myself to be unhurried amidst the busy. taking the time I need to recharge, connect with others, and savor all that the celebration of His birth has to offer!

Pattern: Dolores Park Cowl
Yarn: Trendsetter Yarns, Granito, Color 4
Needles: US 13 circular
Project Notes: love the feel of this yarn!! so soft against your face. I used one and a half skeins of yarn.

I can't get enough of these! this time in Cascade 220, black.

and these again, by special request. I finally found a colorway that may match her kitchen!

finished gift count: 15
finished santa count: 5
finished home deco count: 3

I love your projects. I've got the itches to do something for myself and your cowl looks like a relaxing project/ I am finally getting "out from under" and I agree with your more relaxed approach to the next few weeks. I want to bask in the season.

Hi K! Sounds like you're way ahead of the rush -- good for you! I think I'm about caught up too, but I still feel panicky at times -- like I've forgotten someone or something. My mom was so good at being unhurried -- wish I was more like her!
Blessings,
G

Lady you are a knitting machine! Love that cowl - and how cute are you peeking out. I'm peeking out these days too - it's been high of 34 all week and this california girl (i realize it's been 14 years but still) is freezing! LOVE "unhurried amidst the busy" - it's all in our perspective, isn't it? Enjoy all this pre-holiday time.

Great cowl. Love to see you peeking out from within its warmth! Very cute. I'm also liking the colors of those washcloths. I've been making stacks of them for little Christmas gifts. Such quick projects are very welcome right about now.

Love it all! I'm pretty busy these days but my goal is to be busy now and then I will step away from everything and enjoy the holiday fully. Can't wait!! But we're also finding time to relax and enjoy during the crazy time too, glad to hear you are as well.

"...and ready to bless!"

And I love that. It's a beautifully warm and giving sentiment, exactly what "presence" should be this time of the year in remembering, celebrating love and joy.

Joyful, joyful!

Hugs...Ana
