scrappy

after finishing my Christmas quilt top and back (which I'm so excited to finally share) I had extra fabric strips. I love these fabrics and wanted to find a good use for them. after seeing this tutorial, I knew just what to make...scrappy Christmas cards. this is how they came together:

I'm sure you have a few fabrics in your stash you'd love to use again. I hope you'll try to make some scrappy cards for yourself.

i think it's a little funny, comparing the title to the content of this post. because those cards are anything but! they make me merry just looking at them. what a treat it is to see the finished product. but what immeasurable joy it is to be in love with their creator, and see her joy first hand while she is making them!

love you, sweet!

Look at you with your cute little stamps! I love scrappy cards. I've made a couple to go along with bags in a couple of swaps I've done. They are so much fun and sure to brighten up one's day, especially with a heartfelt message.

And you are right. This was the perfect way to show off the pretty fabrics from your quilt, spreading joy and sharing moments of friendship. They will be greatly appreciated!

Hugs,
Ana

You're amazing! Those cards are perfect. I don't know how you do it all. And loved your last post about finding joy -- good wise words.

Your cards are so very happy! These fabrics are wonderful. Love what your guy wrote - so sweet! I enjoyed your last post re: joy and the poem in your sidebar. I think about joy often too - and have found that it comes when i am at peace and present with my family - when i don't think of anything else i should be doing and just laugh with my kiddos. I also started exercising regularly again after a long break - i feel much healthier and 'joyful' after i work out. Love that we're all working through similar issues and seeking fulfillment and joy in our days.
