one of my "four good friends" is very sick. during our recent visit, I made a mistake. I didn't take the opportunity to play this song for her in person, so I'm taking it now.
as you listen to sara sing this song, think of your good friends: the moments you've shared with them, the love between you, the complete acceptance of you and your circumstances. then take a moment to call, write, or visit them. for every day we have together is a gift. we aren't guaranteed tomorrow, so take advantage of the present that today is.

That's very good advice for everyone to follow -- though I can't see how having more than four would hurt. The more, the better.
I'm sorry about your friend. That has to be hard for both of you.
Try to have a good day, my dear friend!
this song, and idea has found such resonance in my life as well. great post, my good friend! you have always carried me in my stretcher moments. and i plan on making a lifetime of always being at my post when you are in need.
Kristen, i'm so sorry your friend is so ill. I bet seeing this lovely post will lift her spirits and bring a smile to her face. Great advice about taking the time to keep in touch with friends. Thanks for the link - beautiful song. Have a wonderful day, girlfriend!
that's what friends do...they carry each other through the hard times and walk hand in hand through the sunshine. beautiful song.
Kristyn, such good thoughts & good advice, as always. So very sorry about your friend and I'm saying a little prayer for her.
A good friend of mine died suddenly at 40 yrs of age -- this was about 15 years ago, and I still miss her and think of her often. I wish I'd told her more what a comfort and inspiration her friendship was.
Brightest blessings,
G

Kristyn, you and Mark really live this philosophy. I'm grateful for your friendship! Mark recommended this c.d. to me. I've recently added her music to my itunes. Love it. I also love Nichole Nordeman and Natalie Grant! Saying a prayer for you and your friend! Thanks for sharing your heart with us!
