blogiversary

it was just one short year ago that I started this blog. before lisa introduced me to blogland I had no idea it existed. the first blogs I started reading were erin at house on hill road and leslie at a friend to knit with. once introduced, I was hooked! I read every post on leslie's site and was so inspired that within days I had decided to start a blog myself.

I am so thankful for this place of mine. a place to share myself, my family, and my creations with others. this little place has brought to the surface things about myself that are to be celebrated and things that are to be worked on. opening up has, at times, been difficult for me. will others want to read what I write? what will others think? will I be accepted? will I be rejected? all those inferiority concerns come to the surface. I'll admit to having blog envy of those more popular blogs with lots and lots of loyal commenters. sometimes I feel like I'm back in high school looking in from the outside. but then I remember that I was protected from so many temptations and mistakes by having a group of friends on the outside of popular. and so I think God is protecting me here too. I have no pressure to put something out there that has to be accepted or copied. I have a small group of readers who love and support my efforts. I wouldn't trade them for tons of readers. so I'll just continue sharing me and pray that I honor Him in the process.

I THANK all of you who read and all of you who comment regularly! I LOVE hearing from you. over the next few weeks, I'll be updating my space with a few new verses, a few new blogs that are a blessing to me, and maybe a little more focus. until then, I've got a few goodies to give away. this picture shows the items I've boxed up to send to a blessed commenter. so go ahead, leave a comment, and little guy will pick the winner from a basket (no random integer number programs needed here).
included in your box (from back to front):
black sensations angel hair- because it's soo soft!
black multi lo-licious- a lush chenille
pink yarn bee soft delight extremes
daisy peaches & creme- because cloths are fast and easy
a small spring dishcloth
handmade notecards- because keeping in touch is most important
pampered chef sun dried tomato herb oil dipping seasoning
and a new pampered chef garlic press-because it's what I do!
please leave a comment on this post by saturday, april 11th at 6:00pm to be included.

Happy Blogiversary! I really enjoy coming here - you have a great perspective. Sorry to be so late with the congrats but spring break has been crazy around here with me driving the kiddos around on our "staycation" and the husband working all but 2 days! speaking of husbands, i love reading your husbands' comments to you posts - sounds like you have a great relationship!

have i ever told you how wonderful i think you are?
i truly do. and i mean that... from the bottom of my heart.
there is something SO wonderful about blogging. i really can't explain it. i have not told many of my friends about my blog. just a couple of really close friends. my other friends do not even know i have this wonderful creative outlet. weird? yes, i know.
and just to let you know, we all have the exact same insecurities. the moment before i post, my heart races. truly. not out of excitement. but out of nervousness. yep. every. single. time.

you girls have a wonderful time on your spring break!!!! xx
and wait. do you know what my word verification is? beers!!!!!! not sure if you are partaking, but if you are, cheers!!!! xx
