words for wednesday

be more concerned with your character
than your reputation,
because your character
is what you really are,
while your reputation
is merely what others think you are.

An excellent quote. It reminds me of what one of the speakers at our baccalaureate ceremony said to the graduates. Something like you will have a title (high school graduate) but your testament is what you do with your title and that has yet to be determined.

So true. The way you act in private with your loved ones is far more important than how we behave in public to gain a 'good reputation' - only those people and their opinion isn't nearly as important.
