this was the inspiration for my final valentine's day project. I loved how ali turned a few favorite papers into a framed piece of artwork and knew I wanted to try to create one as well.
so I took these:
and turned them into these:
with the help of this:
**my mods** I started the process by being really tempted to send mark to target to buy a larger frame (so it could be just like ali's), but in the end I decided to use frames from my stash. and the idea to change the red and blue frames into beautiful black frames is thanks to this post. I'm blessed to own a cricut machine, so I was able to cut 1" hearts instead of using a heart punch.
I used pop dots to adhere the hearts to the white card stock and simply eyeballed the line up of hearts. in addition to the framed pieces, I used the same repetition idea to whip up some new cards.

They are so, so cute!
More perfectly perfect creations made by the oh so creative Kristyn! These look like something you would find in an upscale/expensive gift shop - beautiful!
Blessings & happy weekend,
G
You're so professional. Wow. You really have an eye for paper art. I'm impressed.
oh kristyn! i love them.
from start to finish... i loved the entire process.
they turned out super! I love the color combinations that you chose...great project girl!
i remember back to a time when you actually said that you were "not creative". and while i would be tempted to remind you of the craziness of that statement, i prefer to encourage the creative spirit and talent that i have always known you were. i was, and continue to be, blown away by this project. i know you said this was to display during the next valentines day season, but i hope you will consider rejecting that silliness and find a permanent home for this treasure (that was produced by the hands and heart of my treasure).
love you, sweet!
these are simply perfect! how did i miss this post - need to figure out why you are not showing up on my reader. love the symmetry and colors and the little dots that made the whole thing 3-d. funny how i did not see this post but suggested to lisa that she frame your awesome stitched tea towel in this manner. can't wait to see what they look like on your wall!
This is soooo cute!! Man you are so much more creative than I am. I'm impressed!
what an adorable project! I love the hearts
I love these! Such a good idea. So, do you love your circut or is it just so so?
