where were you?
I was at home with spencer (4 yrs.) preparing to meet kelly for lunch, when my mom called and told me to turn on the news. I turned on Fox News and saw the second plane crash into the second tower. "What's going on? I can't believe this! Who would do such an awful act?" I cried. I prayed. we watched fox the rest of that day and many more...in total sadness and disbelief.
honoring those who died.
honoring those who helped.
honoring those who survived.
honoring those who go on without loved ones.
May God Bless America.

I had spent the night at my parents home, and I was actually watching CNN when the first plane hit. We were discussing how something like that could have happened when the second plane hit. I remember screaming so loud that my father came running in to see what had happened. At that point, everything changed. I think that in that instant, everyone knew it wasn't random, it wasn't an accident. And then we just held our breath and prayed.
My husband and I were getting ready for work and watching CNN when it happened. We had the same response as Heather and thought it was an accident and then we watched live as the second plane hit.
We talked about this yesterday at co-op with the kids...so many of the mom's and the older kids knew exactly where they were and what they were doing when the planes hit. I was downstairs in the basement working on school with Maggie...my friend called to see if John was alright and I had no idea what she was talking about. She was worried because he worked in a government agency. I immediately turned on the news as I dialed his office. I too saw the second plane hit and crumbled to the ground in shock. There is so much healing that has happened since that day, but still so much more that needs to happen. We should continue to pray for those directly effected and for our country. Thanks for this.
I was at school teaching math when my husband called my classroom and told me to turn on the TV. With my 6th and 7th graders I watched the second plane hit. We watched for about 30 minutes and then turned off the TV. So sad. I was glad we had a moment of silence at school yesterday morning...
We've been praying for all the people who didn't (or haven't) come to know Jesus as their savior. It was so sad.

I was 6 months pregnant with my second daughter, my parents had left the day before to drive home, i came downstairs in the morning, a friend had called with news, we watched horrified, shocked and unbelieving! will never forget.
I was driving to playgroup with my boys. ezra was 2 and david was 4 months. I was listening to npr and they were reporting that the second plane had crashed. we stayed at playgroup for an hour, listening to the radio. The actual shock and disbelief didn't actually hit me until i came home, put the boys down for their nap, and turned on the tv. I will never forget either.
I was in high school skipping chemistry class (ahmn) and chatting with my friend Sarah. Our friend Julie ran down the hall after arriving late to tell us that a plane had hit the twin towers.
