a plan + bits of time = knitting success

skeins her way has issued a summer knitting challenge. the first step is easy-write up your summer knitting goals! the second step is a little more difficult- make the time to work your plan!

like ali, I'm a list maker! I love the process of getting things out of my head and onto paper. writing things down, frees my mind from thinking about said things one minute after another. that being the case, I have a franklin planner that holds my daily to do lists and a notebook that holds future works in progress. Lord willing, this summer I will:
:: completely finish my wip advent calendar
:: make myself a cowl and matching fingerless mitts
:: face my fear and begin knitting my february lady sweater

once written out, it's much easier to break down goals into bite size daily pieces. just saying that reminds me to take my own advice in other areas of my life. what are your summer goals?

Oh, you're so good to have your advent calendar in the works. In spite of my good intentions, I still haven't started mine -- too many other distracting projects at the moment.

I like your formula in the title! I have small summer knitting goals...maybe that's good, maybe I'll surprise myself. And as far as the FLS goes, YOU CAN DO IT and IT WILL BE FABULOUS!

great post! I have a plan - now desperately searching for bits of time! You MUST cast on for the FLS this weekend - just casting on somehow makes it more "real"

i set daily goals with my knitting...
like.... i am not going to bed until i do 5 rows. things like that.
i love how ali gives herself rewards when she reaches her goals.... chocolate is always good. :)

you can accomplish these goals. yes you can!
